Nicholaus Noles, Ph.D.


Graduate Students

Lauren Girouard-Hallam, M.A., M.S.
Lauren is a graduate student in the Experimental Psychology PhD program working with Dr. Danovitch. She graduated from Furman University with degrees in Neuroscience and Theatre. She received her Master’s degree from New York University. Her current research interest includes studying the role of technology use in early learning.

Kriss-Ann Gayle, M.S.


Kriss-Ann is a graduate student in the Experimental Psychology Ph.D. program working with Dr. Noles. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Her current research interest includes studying how children perceive group dynamics and equality.

Khushboo S. Patel, M.A., M.S.
Khushboo is a graduate student in the Experimental Psychology Ph.D. program working with Dr. Danovitch. She earned her M.A. in Psychology from Boston University and a B.A. in Psychology from India. Her current research interests includes how children learn from different type of information sources and the impact of informant’s race and gender on children’s science learning and motivation.

Catherine McDermott, Ph.D.


Dr. Catherine McDermott graduated from the University of Louisville with her Ph.D. in the Experimental Psychology program in 2019. While at UofL, she worked with Dr. Noles studying how children think about social categories and the different social roles that people hold.

Allison J. Williams, Ph.D.

Dr. Allison Williams graduated from the University of Louisville with her Ph.D. in the Experimental Psychology program in 2022. While at UofL, she worked with Dr. Danovitch studying how the media and familiar characters influences children's trust and decision making. She is currently a post-doc research fellow at Boston University.
Megan Norris, Ph.D.
Dr. Megan Norris graduated from the University of Louisville with her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology program in 2023. While at UofL, she worked with Dr. Nick Noles studying how children evaluate individuals as potential informants in learning situations. She is currently a post-doc research fellow at Purdue University.
